Regent College reached out to me to design their biggest annual communications project: the Summer Programs brand—and its many moving but connected parts. Each year, the college launches a unique program of week-long courses that span from May to August. Rooted in a single unifying theme, the Summer Programs brand is then applied to their website, a 28-page print brochure, print and digital marketing materials, and every smaller piece in between.
The 2024 theme was “Life More Abundant.” The college wanted the Summer Programs brand to convey a sense of fruitfulness and to use the colour purple—one of the institution’s brand colours—alongside other more summery colours. Drawing on the rich imagery of a grapevine—which illustrates themes of growth, connectedness, pruning, feasting, and new life—while playing with geometrical shapes and different tones of the brand purple alongside a splash of salmon pink, we showcased a Summer Programs that felt both warm and evocative, modern and timeless, fresh and abundant.
